Satyr Crochet Hat

This crochet hat is another project I'm VERY proud I made. A person who is not familiar with crochet will probably not even notice this is a hat made entirely of crochet, and I think this is just one of the reasons why this project is so incredible!

I call it satyr crochet hat because this was my intention when I made it, but this pattern is actually named Krampus Hat / Goat Hat / Yeti Hat / Wild Things Hat, and it's available on MoraleFiber's Etsy page - thank you so much for this amazing pattern!

The Satyr Hat is my biggest project so far and it took me around 35 hours to finish. There are many details in the horns, ears, and the braids (which I had no idea how to make).

The head itself is very intricate as each curl is made with a combination of chains and singles crochets that ends up forming this head shape. It is not the most technically challenging pattern, but it requires dedication as there are many parts of it. I took some pictures of this process :)

I started this project to share my crochet adventures, mostly with amigurumi and t-shirt yarn. I love experimenting with new crochet techniques and patterns!
